Absolutely Delightful Local Arizona Honey

Almost 10 years ago we realized that local bee keepers were under-represented in the Phoenix local farmer’s markets where we were selling a variety of other products. Honey is a uniquely complex product that has many uses. It never spoils. An amazing fact is that honey was recovered from an Egyptian pyramid and was still edible and full of important nutrients.

We represent up to 5 local bee keepers depending upon the season. They distribute their hives and harvest honey from many different areas like Buckeye, Camp Verde, Flagstaff, Mesa, Lake Pleasant and Wickenburg. This allows us to provide a wide variety of local seasonal raw honeys. Uniquely delicious, natural flavors include orange blossom, alfalfa, mesquite, desert wild flower, Flagstaff wild flower, catsclaw and camelthorn. From time to time we get small batches of rare honeys like prickly pear or staghorn (cholla) cactus honey. We also have a great variety of pollen, propolis, royal jelly (when available) and personal care products whose ingredients include products from the hive.

When we first began, my two children, Annalee (10 years old) and Ian (9 years old) and I (Eleanor) were the whole crew. Farmer’s markets gave the kids experience running a business, managing money, customer service and public relations. After, Annalee graduated from high school in 2009, Ian and I continued to expand the business and develop our own markets. Ian graduated from high school in May of 2011. He is now a full time student at ASU and continues with his regular Saturday morning market at Roadrunner Park. In October of 2011 a new market started at Central and Northern, Annalee decided to represent us at this market. Now we all have a market every Saturday morning.

Absolutely Delightful Arizona Honey now has 4-weekly farmers markets; every week all year round. Wednesdays, the Town & Country Market at 20th Street and Camelback. Three markets on Saturdays, the Phoenix Public Market, at 1st Street and McKinley, Roadrunner Park on Cactus Road and Highway 51, as well as the Central Market at the south east corner of Central and Northern.

With the addition of this web site in 2009, our business and customer base continues to expand. We have begun filling in orders across all 50 states. The wide variety of specialty honeys from Arizona are in high demand. Check out our newest Web endeavor “Arizona Honey as Party Favors”.

We would be absolutely delighted if you would visit us on Facebook; leave us your testimonial on how you have used our products. Share with us your favorite recipe or health tip. Tell us how Arizona Honey or any other product from the bee hive has impacted your health and life.
